Eve's Letterhead. A cute floral background with a banner reading from the desk of Eve two point oh.

From The Front Lines of The Stray Cat Club Bash!

by Eve Twopointoh (2.0)

A glamour shot of Eve Two point oh. Soft focus. Wearing a beautiful necklace.
My Official Beauty Shot!

Saturday, October 18th, was the annual fundraiser for The Stray Cat Alliance held at a big Hollywood agent's estate. Three hundred cat people attended the fancy affair to help raise money for the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless and injured cats.

I got to attend because I am the current generation of the World Domination Squad. I have a new and improved booty so I don't tip over.

As you know from the Chairman's meltdown, this was my ride for the evening :

A very lovely, sparkly large purse. Very colorful and lovely.

Ginger and Peach helped me get ready with makeup and jewelry.

Three adorable soft sculpture cat dolls and are a bathroom counter with makeup and jewelry. Ginger is fastening a necklace around Eve's neck. Peach looks on.

HOWEVER. The Chairman kept carrying on in the background saying:

Some cat dolls get to hang out in a glittery, NICE bag!

The girls gave me a final hug.

Three soft sculpture cat dolls and in a group embrace.

Here I am in the "glittery, nice bag" as we drove to the estate in Brentwood.

Eve's bottom half is perched inside a colorful bag. Her top half is sitting up and looking around.

The valets whisked our car away and I saw sooooo many cat people and cameras that I froze. OK. Maybe I hissed. But then a female human saw me and screeched:

"OMG! Look at the adorable cat doll!"

She held my paw and smiled while a paparazzi took my photo. I hope I didn't blink.

Then I saw Sherlock with a throng of cat people around him!

Sherlock poses on a fancy silent auction table.

I didn't get to spend long with him because he was pretty popular with the ladies!

A cute photo of Eve posing with Sherlock.

I asked Kreatrix if we were at a fancy hotel and she said:

"Um. No. That is somebody's home, Eve."

Wow. I don't think we have enough money in the curse jar to buy one of those places for Kreatrix and The Prof.

The dinner was held in a really big back yard!

Lots of people at dinner tables near a swimming pool and a huge pool house in the background.

That's not the main house back there folks. Kreatrix said it looked like guest accommodations or a pool house.

More people at tables with two huge video screen behind a large state. Photos of rescued cats are on the screen.

I must say, cat people are a delightful group and I met so many nice people who kept telling me how adorable I was.

It was a magical and romantic evening! It left me wishing I had a special tom...Ginger has the Chairman...who do I have?...sigh. Kreatrix, is there someone special for me?

Eve is sitting on the dinner table with roses, candlelight and wine glasses in the background.

Best of all, Sherlock worked his magic and raised a nice bundle of money to help homeless cats!

Let's watch Sherlock one more time as he goes for his honorary ride in the World Dominationmobile! He's my hero.

Before The Shindig I Had A Meltdown

Eve is working on Part 2 of the Stray Cat Alliance party and shindig this past weekend. I respectfully present to you Part 1.

As we all know, Kreatrix occasionally takes me out into the world and when she does, here is how I "travel":

The Chairman poses with a pink shopping bag. He is obviously not happy.

Ah, yes. The dreaded pink bag.

Well, well.

Take a look at Eve 2.0's ride to the Stray Cat Alliance fundraiser:

A very lovely, sparkly large purse. Very colorful and lovely.

Yup.

Let me put it more bluntly.

Here's mine:

A pathetic pink nylon bag tossed on the countertop. Empty and drab.

And here's Eve's:

A very lovely, sparkly large purse. Very colorful and lovely.

When I saw that on Saturday night before they left for the party I MAY have had a minor meltdown.

Ya know, sort of:

Why, Kreatrix, why!???

The Chairman cat doll bent over the counter, crying with the sorry pink bag crumpled next to him.
Why hast thou forsaken me, Kreatrix?

Hey, I look pretty good in agony.

ANYWHO. The most amazing thing happened while I was having my "moment."

The Chairman has his paws around real life cat, Wally, who has jumped up on the counter to comfort the Chairman.

He likes me, he really likes me!

I...I...this is a silver lining moment, people! Wally is my new best buddy. He heard my mournful, soulful cries and came to comfort me.

Life is good...for the moment.

Stay tuned! The girls will fill you in on Eve's party night and how our buddy, Sherlock, performed at the Silent Auction!

My Community is Growing

I've named him Sherlock.

CatberryTails_Sherlock

He's got really soft patches on his body.

CatberryTails_Sherlock2

Kreatrix says he's made out of raw silk and chenille. All I know is that she had to feed the curse jar until she figured out how to sew with this fabric.

Ginger is flirting with him a little too much for my liking. Here I am telling her:

Ixnay on the flirtsnay!

CatberryTails_GingerFlirts

Notice the stink eye Ginger is giving me! Whew! Kreatrix didn't want me to post the picture because we look ticked at each other.

I think it's positively dramatic! It shows my tough side.

Also, I wasn't quite sure what the little pink knots where on Sherlock's belly but I'm told all cats have them.

Hello. I don't.

Just when I think I've got it all figured out.

World Domination Has Begun!!

The Kreatrix has returned home with the news that two of my World Domination Squad have been adopted into loving homes! The North Carolina Zoo To Do was a smashing success.

Envoy was adopted by a very lovely young woman. Look at him posing at the Zoo To Do. I taught him everything he knows.

CatberryTails_ZooToDoPatchwork

And here's Newman warming up before the crowd arrived:

CatberryTails_ZooToDoNewman

Newman was adopted by a very nice chap who wanted him to be something called "eye-candy" in his little girl's bedroom until she's old enough to play with him. Very cool. I'd like an "eye-candy" assignment!

Hey nice people, if you stop in here on our clog (cat blog) please send us photos of our gang so we don't miss them too much! We'll post them for all our fans to see!

Here is the entrance to the Zoo To Do party tent:

CatberryTails_ZooToDoEntrance

Kreatrix told us about an amazing young woman (only 26 years old) who painted this:

CatberryTails_ZooToDoStar

Speechless here. No wonder Kreatrix wanted this but it sold for a lot of money.

Look who got her own private limousine while helping the Kreatrix do PR work back east.

CatberryTails_ZooToDoLimo

ENVIOUS

She was a little nervous after Envoy and Newman headed off to the zoo so she made some new friends at the home of Kreatrix Mother.

Of course, this is news to us. We thought Kreatrix came from another planet so when we asked her about having a mother she said "Oh...Mom found me next to the spaceship and brought me home."

Hmmm. I must investigate this further.

Anywho...here's a couple of new friends hangin' with our silk brocade beauty.

CatberryTails_ZooToDoFriends

The  Kreatrix Mother has an odd little creature in her house.

A little Chihuahua with giant ears sits in a patch of sunshine.

I am told this is a dog. Wow. I somehow expected dogs to be bigger.

That's it for now folks. Stay tuned for more big news coming your way!

Please Don't Fold, Spindle or Mutilate!

Folks, I am concerned. The Kreatrix is taking my new minions on an airplane tomorrow!

IN A SUITCASE

I...I...Why?

She reassured me they'd be safe inside the airplane with her...

IN A SUITCASE

Look at this face and ask yourself if you'd stuff her in a suitcase:

A very adorable cat doll made out of Asian silk brocade fabric. She sits with a sultry look on her face.

I mean really...

Silk brocade lovely cat sits on edge of table with her legs crossed very dainty-like.

I gathered my minions of World Domination Smiles and Happiness and gave them emergency lessons in curling up inside the Kreatrix carry-on bag. Please note:

I think they enjoyed it a little too much.

Here we are before the training session. I won't show you the after picture.

The three newest members of the Catberry Tails gang pose with the Chairman.

The Prof and I also got Kreatrix a special self inflating and adjustable back pillow for the oddly shaped seats you humans travel in whilst hurdling through the air.

Um. You release a valve on the pillow as it's stuffed behind your back and it makes a sound like a nice, long dog fart. Kreatrix said it's called a long, slow windy one.

EW

Here are the cool tags that get tied around the wrists of my World Domination Embassadors.

The doll tags, complete with instructions of care and a list including things you learn from cats. Stuff like stretch daily, hiss as needed, unconditional love, etc.

I'm nervous and excited! I hope Kreatrix sits next to an understanding person who doesn't think she's being rude when her back pillow decides to cut one.

Ginger has her own letterhead now! She is an adorable soft sculptured cat doll. Her letterhead features beautiful handwriting and a beauty shot of Ginger.

That's Right. Sheesh!

This next phrase has to be whispered due to The Chairman's reaction to it:

Last week the Kreatrix threw her back out again.

Shhhh. You'd think the Chairman would have learned from the previous time it happened, but he went outside to the garbage can and searched for her back. Then he pitched a tent next to the garbage can when it got dark. He was certain someone would come and steal her back "which she must have thrown out by mistake!"

Stop rolling your eyes. He loves her.

Now for the other Sheesh part. She was flat on her back and couldn't work on our community for the Zoo To Do.

However, she did finish this chap before she hurt herself:

Ginger poses with her cousin, a new cat doll, made out of the same 60's vintage fabric as Ginger.

That's Newman up there with Ginger! He's a cousin of hers.

Kreatrix has propped her self up and is hard at work on this beauty:

A doll underway and being made with vintage Chinese silk brocade fabric used to make kimonos.

That is vintage silk brocade from Asia! Kreatix found it at an estate sale - about 10 yards of it for only a few buckeroos!

Apparently it's hard to work with because she keeps having to feed our curse jar! YIPEEEE.

Ok, sweetpeas - more photos to come.

Our Community is Expanding!

Lookey here:

Pattern pieces are all cut out for another doll.

Kreatrix is hard at work for a very important reason...(besides my quest for World Domination.)

Here is Eve getting all excited because this newest creation is a close relative of hers.

Eve 2.0 is sitting on the table looking at a doll made out of the same fabric as her body.

This one below looks really different. I actually know how it ends up looking but I am supposed to "tease" you until the big reveal next week. Personally, I don't find it very funny but Kreatrix said to tease you. So HAHA!

Some more doll parts and pieces.

I selected the eyes and nose.

Button eyes and a fabric nose lay on a table.

OK. Listen up.

The Chairman cat doll takes a selfie standing in front of the dolls being made.

The new members of my World Domination Squad are flying (with the Kreatrix) clear across the USA to participate in a huge event raising money for the North Carolina Zoo. They will be auctioned off (along with lots of other cool stuff from artists and such) to help raise money for the Zoo's research and conservation programs!

The North Carolina Zoo To Do poster.Check out C'sar, he's 40 years old!

C'sar the Elephant who lives at the North Carolina Zoo roams free in the fields.

The 2,000 acre North Carolina Zoo was the first American zoo to use the "natural habitat" philosophy – putting animals together with plants in exhibits that resemble exactly how they would be found in the wild! Most animals are kept in large expanses of land, which reduces many of the behavior problems that can be caused by close confinement.

I understand that. If I'm closed up with Dude or Ginger for too long, I'd kinda like to...well, never mind.

Elephants roaming in the African Plains Exhibit.

The 37-acre  African Plains exhibit alone is as large as many entire zoos!

Mostly, though, the Kreatrix loves the work they do throughout the world with such organizations as The World Wildlife Fund. And the fact that the animals aren't in cages but roam in their natural habitat.

There's gonna be 800 people at this shindig! I can't even count that high!

Big kitty cats. Whew!

Lions at the North Carolina Zoo.

This is our first big PR event!

Ginger and I (along with the Kreatrix) are about to perform the ceremony that brings our newest members to life! It's very secret and very special. I even get to wear a ceremonial robe. Shhhhh. You'll get to meet them next week!

That's Right! Heat's On Under Kreatrix's Hiney!

The Chairman cat doll is sitting at his desk with a box in front of him.

Lots happenin' here. We'll be making a big announcement later this week!

And it has to do with my dream of World Domination.

Kreatrix says I should call it Community Development.

THUD!

Lays there, doesn't it? Doesn't have the same ring to it as WORLD DOMINATION.

See this box?

The Chairman holds the box up. It has a little red sticker on it that says Yay!

Step 1 to World Domination is inside. Notice it even says Yay! on the box.

The lid of the box is open and business cards are packaged inside.

Our business cards arrived last week from Moo Cards!!!

The Chairman has spread the cards out on his desk and is looking at them.

I could cry I'm so happy.

An overhead shot of some really fun business cards featuring the dolls.

And they give you this really cool thing to hold the cards in:

The Chairman poses with a nice faux leather box.

The Chairman opens the carrier and spills the cards on the desk.

Eve 2.0 is feeling very famous.

More exciting news later! The heat is on!

Serious Legal Business Goin' Down Here

So I peel back one of the Kreatrix' eyelids early the other morning and showed her this:

An animation of a black cat filings its nails with a fingernail file.

Yep. We are WAITING! Time to get this World Domination show on the road.

We got through to her because she took Eve 2.0 with her to see a lawyer. Confusing! I could see a veterinarian but a lawyer? Kreatrix said:

It's for protection...for all of you.

Eve was nervous but held up well.

Eve 2.0, the cute cat doll sits at the conference room table in a trademark lawyers office.

Apparently, Kreatrix is adding a category of  "dolls" to her existing Trademark. Again with calling us dolls. We are CATS. Sheesh.

AND, we helped her design business cards! This will be the front:

The front of the business cards for Catberry Tails. Very fun and colorful.

Moo Cards lets you run as many designs as you want on the backs of your cards. Saaweeeet! So 100 will have Eve on the back:

The back of the card looks like a magazine cover. Eve 2.0 poses on a white backdrop and is surrounded by humorous articles reportedly inside the magazine.

And 100 will have Opie on the back:

Opie, the high end art doll, is posed on the white back drop with article titles surrounding him. Looks exactly like a magazine cover.

Here's the cool little images Moo Cards displayed after we ordered them with special rounded corners:

The final look of the cards with special rounded corners.

We are all so excited. BUT

P.S. KREATRIX!!! What about my CAR, my World Dominationmobile???? Uh-huh. You remember that, don't ya?

P.S.S. Love you.

Lessons in Trust

Kreatrix has been far too busy with clients changing their minds AFTER projects have been uploaded to China and are ALREADY in production.

AND

Since she won't let me protect her with a hammer...

Cute floppy cat doll sits on chair in front of the house with a hammer across his lap.

...I got bored and snooped around the house. Here is what I found:

An odd looking stuffed animal. Looks like it might be a cat.

Speechless, I am.

I looked for a tag to tell me which far flung place on Planet Earth this…thing…came from. Maybe it came from the Kreatrix home planet.

Seriously. Look at its face.

The Chairman poses with the very stiff looking cat doll.

Dude and I dragged it down the hall and into the Kreatrix office where she was hunched all googly-eyed over the computer screen. I told Dude he should ask her nicely (i.e. I wasn’t going to be the one to interrupt her work).

Dude takes a selfie with the stiff cat doll.
Dude has discovered selfies. Heaven help us...

So Dude sez:

“What the heck is this darn thing?”

Kreatrix glances at us with a scowl:

“It’s a cat. I made it many, many years ago. From a pattern I bought at the store.”

Of course, I just had to burst out laughing and go all "look at me, I'm a stand up comic":

It looks like a cross between a rabbit and a cat. Hello little CRABBIT! HAHAHAHA. And its arms look like "Hey, Sugar Ray, where's your boxing gloves?" MWAHAHAHAHA.

It occurred to me that no one else was laughing. Dude was all wide-eyed staring at the Kreatrix.

I'm such an idiot.

But soft, she speaks:

“That’s not polite. I simply wasn’t ready to use the Force, Luke!”

Oh, lord. Not again. Google here I come.

“The Force is described by the great Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi as an energy field created by all living things; it surrounds and penetrates living beings and binds the galaxy together.”

There's more!

“The Force can enhance natural, physical and mental abilities…”

Woah. So the Kreatrix is a Jedi Master?

Later that afternoon I kept staring and staring at her and then from behind her computer screen she says:

“I sense a disturbance in the Force.”

I couldn’t stand it any longer:

“WAS I MADE FROM A STORE PATTERN?! I screamed with all my little heart.

Now she laughs.

“Nope. By the time I made you and the others, I had grown wiser. I did away with the rules and used the Force instead.”

Okay, then. Sounds all kinda spooky. Then the Kreatrix said I needed to lighten up and she showed me this video.

Hey. I'm going to call this thing Yoda. See the resemblance?

The stiff cat doll is compared to a photo of Yoda from Star Wars. There is a resemblance.

Here's the best part. Look how far Kreatrix has come with her Jedi training:

The latest Catberry Tails creation, Eve 2.0, sits patting the head of Yoda, the cat.
Sweet Eve 2.0, our newest member!

May the Force be with you!
